5 mistakes of my life

Slogging for my project & letting every Tom, Dick & Harry earn credit for the same

not bothering to show case (read: showoff) my accomplishments to every ruddy individual in this company

allowing some insensitive & irrelevant folks to criticise/offend/humiliate me at their wish n will and showing them a plesant smiling face always, instead of my ass!

expecting humane emotions & finer feelings from near n dear ones

not mastering the art of Saying NO

Botched appraisal, I guess ?

I think you would be mentally better off, if writing a travelogue rather than java code/whatever-you-write-in-office.

Unless you don't go on repeating these mistakes, and learn from these, you should be fine!
Go ahead lady! Take charge! :)

Looks to me the only real mistake is the last one - not being able to say NO. Rest of them looks to me that you are expecting something from others, which is totally out of your control. IMO, the real mistake in the other things are trying to control things that are not in your hands. The best you can do is walk away from those people or situations which may not be an easy choice most of the time.

Thanks for dropping by Jayadeep!
your comment did kindle my rusted mind & sparked off a beam of thought process... you are right about 'worrying abt things not in our control'.
Thanks for the valuable comment!
